Biography:
Northern California native, now Nashville-based, Shane Dwight is a young American Roots Music artist for the 21st century – a killer blues player who can rock the house all night long with the best of them, and an introspective singer-songwriter whose voice rings true at alt-country, Americana, R&B, and flat-out Rock N Roll.
Shane Dwight cut his teeth on the rough and tumble East Side of San Jose California, where his natural talents were influenced by the neighborhood’s diverse musical undercurrents. He became proficient at various styles, and played in jazz and rock bands before finding his groove playing his own unique style of Roots Music. Shane’s popularity spread quickly, and in 2002 he easily won the Monterey Blues Festival Battle of the Bands. Since that time Shane has released several self-produced CDs and kept up a hectic schedule, appearing at countless clubs and festival Main Stages throughout North America.
In 2009, Shane moved to Nashville, Tennessee and signed with Vizztone Label Group as his record label and was also signed by one of the top booking agencies in the country, Intrepid Artists International. This year he’ll be performing over 180 shows throughout the US, Canada and Mexico.

The Old #7 gained nation wide exposure on FOX TVs “The Next Great American Band†and played to over 10 million people each week. Originally the shows judges insisted that the general public would not accept a “Bluegrass†band and the Old #7 would have a short stay on the show.
They not only appeared on six of the final shows but finished 7th out of 8,000 bands who originally tried out for the show. This was due the huge number of fans who showed their support each week by voting to keep Cliff Wagner on the show.
The bands latest release, “HOBO’S LULLABYE†produced by the gold & platinum award winning producer/engineer, Michael Vail Blum showcases the bands musicianship, versatility and song writing skills. Featuring hard driving blues influenced songs like “Rollin’ & Tumblinâ€, Bluegrass influenced tunes like “Lil’ White Chapelâ€, the country pop of “Shaffertown Road IIâ€, and tender ballads like “Same Old Me†and “Hobo’s Lullabye†the album has something for everyone. They have even included some of the fan favorites from the FOX television show like Elton John’s “Honky Tonk and the 50s classic “Poison Ivyâ€.
Released in November 2008 the album debuted at #35 on the AMA Americana chart and shortly rose to #28 ! Also appealing to international audience the album climbed to #9 on the Euro Americana chart.
Cliff has just finished composing an original sound track for the sequel to the indie horror sensation “20001 Maniacs Beverly Hellbillies”. Cliff not only wrote songs for the movie but played a leading role as “Legend” the scary minstrel for the maniacs crew.The movie will debut in Hollywood in july of 2010. The band is also featured in the debut episode of “Justified” coming out on FX this march. They perform cliff’s song “Castleneck” while wearing the original costumes from “Oh Brother Where Art Thou”.
