On our website, arborcollective.com, you must make a quick comment on any news story, (you must make a real comment) in the comment section and write, “I want to win free Arbor stuff!” Make sure to use a real full name and email address so we can make contact should you win. Then you must also make a Facebook Like and/or Twitter Tweet (look for this option at the bottom of each news story) on any news story to finish your entry. Upon submitting a comment and a like and/or tweet, you will be entered into a random drawing. Within about a week, we’ll post the winner’s name on the Arbor website, Facebook and Twitter.

A Collaboration Installation by Blaine Fontana & Zach Johnsen

The Arbor Collective is proud to celebrate long time art & design contributors Blaine Fontana & Zach Johnsen, with a collaborative installation at the Timesinfinity gallery inside the evo store in Seattle. On view were 3 collaborative paintings by the artists, but the highlight of the show was a 20 ft modular installation complete with trees, birdhouses and a cast of wondrous characters. Echoing Arbor’s practice of using sustainable materials, the entire show was comprised of all reclaimed, recycled, or repurposed wood/media. Only 5 sheets of plywood were bought to create this highly involved, rich and detailed dreamy “Camp Fire” scene. Check out the making of this amazing show below.

The Arbor Collective Presents: Premium Camping At No Charge

A Collaboration Installation by Blaine Fontana & Zach Johnsen at Evo in Seattle.

Arbor celebrates longtime art and design contributors Blaine Fontana & Zach Johnsen in a night of art, up-cycling, book signings, frivolity and a furious passion for reclaimed materials for an imaginative environmental experience. Collaborating with Arbor, the artists are echoing the company’s rooted practice using sustainable materials for their products. The entire show is comprised of all reclaimed, recycled, or repurposed wood/media, only two sheets of plywood were bought to create this highly involved, rich and detailed dreamy “Camp Fire” scene.

More than half of the installation is available, making for over 60 items for sale at a wide range of prices. Fontana and Johnsen are also showing several brand new collaborative paintings made exclusively for the event.

Lastly, Fontana will be happily signing his new book “Amalgamate,” a 108 page harbound book featuring over 75 full-color plates of his recent art and design during the opening.

“We look forward to seeing all our friends and fans at the event,” says Fontana and Johnsen. “It’s going to be a great night for art and the environment.”

“Evo has been a strong supporter of Arbor Skateboards, Snowboards and Apparel,” says John Crouch, Arbor’s northwest sales representative. “This event is solid way for Arbor to get more involved with Evo while including our products, artists and friends of the collective in a unique way. Evo has created something special with their art gallery, party atmosphere and cult following that is going to make this a night to remember.”

Check out some great photos from Bear Mountain’s Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails which went down in September. The photos were lost but now they and found. Interestingly enough, two new Arbor team riders who were not on the team yet at this event are featured here. As a matter of fact, it’s a bit of a sneak peek at who’s joining the team because they have not yet been officially announced. Check the shots and get the 411. Photos by Brad Farmer.

We are getting to know Cody Boan as he has joined the Regional team and may quickly move to the national team because he rips.

We’ve leaked it out a little bit already that Scotty Vine has joined the international team. Talk about natural talent.

Arbor’s newest national team rider who most people don’t know about yet is Ian Sams. You’ll be hearing a lot more about Ian over the winter.

Arbor helped put on the UCSB Snow Club Annual Sponsor Day party and it went…OFF! It was really just a big college party on the campus of UCSB in Isla Vista. Wild times for sure. The rail setup was just enough for some college kids to break out their snowboards and give it a go. I mean, why not. The party included live music from Go Motion and DJ Durty Power. If the photo gallery wasn’t enough here is a great video of the event. It’s clear everyone had fun and isn’t that what it’s all about?

Snowboard Movie Premieres @ Arbor

It’s that time of year again when the new snowboard movies are dropping and riders are getting pumped for the coming season. Arbor is raising the level on the stoke with two nights of Snowboard movie premieres in SoCal including Think Thank’s Left Brain Right Brain (or Right Brain Left Brain) and Bear Mountain’s Paint It Red. Space will be limited to capacity at each location so make sure arrive early. Come out and meet Arbor team rider, Nick Visconti who has the opening part in the Think Thank movie and many of the Bear Mountain team riders. It’ll be a great “pray for snow party” that all benefits POW – Protect Our Winters. Check the info below for all of the details.
