Feels like an extension of your legs
"The Surf Rocket is the first surfskate I bought and purchased from my local surf shop. Struggled deciding between this and three other boards and spent over an hour trying them out around the isles in the store. Should have picked a longer one but my heart just loved the *feel* of the Surf Rocket compared to the others. So nimble & maneuverable, feels like an extension of your legs. Really fun in crowded beach areas like where I ride. The problem was when I rode it too fast and crashed the first day. It's absolutely fantastic for meandering around crowded areas and tight turns. But when I started carving from both directions, it picked up speed and due to my size, put too much weight on the inside rear and it tipped backwards. I'm 6'2" with 18" stance and its 16.5" wb is not long enough for me when putting that much force on the rear. Ended up buying a longer deck with an 18.3 wb and 33 length which is better for my size. IMO, this board is perfect for someone with a 16" stance and up to 5'7" height. Don't blame the board in any way. Love this Arbor board! It's super high quality, looks fantastic up close, nice shapely deck your feet can grip, and some really sticky wheels. Am keeping this board since I love how it feels so much. Will come back to it after I get better and maybe experiment with another truck type or maybe find a gf who skates, fingers crossed. Anyone who fits this board should be thrilled with it."
