The A-Frame’s directional shape, mild taper, and setback stance offer comfort on groomers and ease in powder. A bigger radius sidecut improves carving at higher speeds and adds better control in the steeps. With carbon RWD inlays under your back foot, the A-Frame delivers precision and performance in every turn.

Arbor's Shaping Ethos
Grip Tech + Parabolic Profiling
The system shaping philosophy underpins the design of every snowboard in our line. It allows us to create advanced true-rocker and true-camber designs. As a result we preserve all of the inherent riding benefits of these proven platforms by avoiding hybridization. Two distinct technologies make this possible:

Parabolic Profiling

We use a unique shaping technique that replaces the single radius arc found in traditional camber or rocker with a more advanced parabolic profile. The design blends five separate radii together to create a parabolic arc which gradually reduces the amount of rocker or camber toward the tip and tail. In our System Rocker shapes the design lowers the leading edge to improve edge hold. In our System Camber shapes the design makes the leading edge less aggressive for smoother performance. The blended five radii design also drastically improves our ability to tune each shape in our line for ability level, target terrain and riding style.

System Camber
Arbor System Parabolic Profiling

Our System Camber shapes are for riders who want:

  • A highly responsive ride, crisp on-edge performance and more pop for carving and ollies
  • Effortless true-camber performance across all types of snow and during turns, spins and landings
Complete the system with Arbor System X Bindings

The System X Baseplate

FOUND ON ALL ARBOR BINDINGS
  • A proprietary design that transfers rider input out to four heel-to-toe convergence zones, improving edge controls and response time.
  • A concave design allows a board to flex more seamlessly by reducing flat spots for improved edge performance.
  • When paired with an Arbor Snowboard, the System X design improves the activation of Arbor's Grip Tech contact points.
  • This unique binding / board interaction provides maximum performance at speed, in steeps, amd through any turn, carve or spin.

Fender Tech

The edge control created by Arbor's System platform allows us to add Fenders that slightly lift a board's leading edge off the snow. This dramatically improves turning, spins, float and tracking on cambered snowboards.

Unlike "early rise" or "rockered" nose/tail transition zone, Arbor's Fenders create smoother performance without shortening the camber section of the board. As a result, you get a clean ride without any loss of the pop or performance that comes from full-length camber. Today, we use Fenders on the majority of our System Camber designs.

Stiff, aggressive, poppy, hard charging, deep carving, powder floating work of art.

"I got the 22’ A Frame 159W from my local board shop, teamed with Arbor Cypress Mark Carter bindings. The Looks: this board is hands down the most beautiful snowboard I’ve ever seen. The different wood inlays make for a unique and functional top sheet. Base sheet is simple and retro styled. Prepare to get comments in the line ups! The Riding: Board excels at everything they claim it does; from charging and carving groomers, surfing powder, to smashing through chunder. The set-back stance, big nose, camber and taper help this board ride powder like dedicated powder boards. The camber profile provides a poppy ride, and you can feel the carbon in the tail providing a snappiness under the back foot. This board is fast, stiff, and aggressive. A perfect board for the big mountains on the West Coast. Not for the park or beginners. I liken this board to a German sports sedan, fast, comfortable, stable at high speed, handles like a dream, but let your guard down and it’ll bite you. cons- I can’t think of any right now, price is on the higher side but you get what you pay for. It was hard to find but I was determined and special ordered it, add to pros:exclusivity."

Best board I've ever ridden

"Im 6'4/245 w/ size 13 boot. Have owned several burtons, a k2, Arbor Roundhouse, and currently ride the A-Frame and an Iguchi Pro camber as well. I ordered the 170W version back in 2018, and after three seasons on it I can honestly say its the best board I've ever owned. The stability and float makes this the perfect 1 board all mountain quiver as long as you dont take it into parks too, you wont need a pow board if you own this. The up-rise fenders combined with the grip-tech & unidirectional profile give it the surfiest feeling, and it TRACKS. Its simply sublime on the groomers, and its effortless thru the trees despite its sidewalk sized proportions. In fact i prefer this over the Iguchi model. I cant compare this to the skunk-ape though, never rode that one, but if you're a bigger rider with me and need something to float your sasquatch proportions while still retaining maneuverability this is not a board to overlook."

Never liked resort riding... until I tried this board

"Been riding since 10 years ish and i've always been a fan of back country snowboarding and deep powder days. I've never really liked resort riding and let me tell you, this board changed my view about it. First of all, the stability of this ride is outstanding and it gives so much confidence in what you can do. The grip tech really adds to it and i've never had a snowboard (this is my 5th one) that cuts so cleanly into groomed terrain and those ice patches. They don't even scare me anymore because u don't feel your snowboard skipping and not cutting into it (it was my experience with my 2019 rome snowboard). The versatility of this board makes those 15-30 cm snowfall days really fun too. I've always had a hard time convicing myself to use my Arbor terrapin 2017-2018 model on those days but with the A-Frame, u can enjoy the low-medium deep powder and not be scared to hit those groomed trails afterward or get into part of trails that had less snow. As always with arbor product (my 3rd now), its always love on first use. Keep doing great snowboards!"
