Arbor's Shaping Ethos
Grip Tech + Parabolic Profiling
The system shaping philosophy underpins the design of every snowboard in our line. It allows us to create advanced true-rocker and true-camber designs. As a result we preserve all of the inherent riding benefits of these proven platforms by avoiding hybridization. Two distinct technologies make this possible:

Grip Tech

Grip Tech creates added heel and toe contact points that dramatically improve edge control on snow and ice. The design creates a more ergonomic and direct connection to the snow for substantially improved handling and response time. The Added contact points make it possible for Arbor to offer Rocker designs that hold an amazing edge and Camber designs that provide cleaner edge performance.

Arbor System Grip Tech

Parabolic Profiling

We use a unique shaping technique that replaces the single radius arc found in traditional camber or rocker with a more advanced parabolic profile. The design blends five separate radii together to create a parabolic arc which gradually reduces the amount of rocker or camber toward the tip and tail. In our System Rocker shapes the design lowers the leading edge to improve edge hold. In our System Camber shapes the design makes the leading edge less aggressive for smoother performance. The blended five radii design also drastically improves our ability to tune each shape in our line for ability level, target terrain and riding style.

System Camber
Arbor System Parabolic Profiling

Our System Camber shapes are for riders who want:

  • A highly responsive ride, crisp on-edge performance and more pop for carving and ollies
  • Effortless true-camber performance across all types of snow and during turns, spins and landings
Complete the system with Arbor System X Bindings

The System X Baseplate

FOUND ON ALL ARBOR BINDINGS
  • A proprietary design that transfers rider input out to four heel-to-toe convergence zones, improving edge controls and response time.
  • A concave design allows a board to flex more seamlessly by reducing flat spots for improved edge performance.
  • When paired with an Arbor Snowboard, the System X design improves the activation of Arbor's Grip Tech contact points.
  • This unique binding / board interaction provides maximum performance at speed, in steeps, amd through any turn, carve or spin.

Fender Tech

The edge control created by Arbor's System platform allows us to add Fenders that slightly lift a board's leading edge off the snow. This dramatically improves turning, spins, float and tracking on cambered snowboards.

Unlike "early rise" or "rockered" nose/tail transition zone, Arbor's Fenders create smoother performance without shortening the camber section of the board. As a result, you get a clean ride without any loss of the pop or performance that comes from full-length camber. Today, we use Fenders on the majority of our System Camber designs.

Updated Review

"I have now had my Satori out multiple times in conditions ranging from hard pack groomers to 3” of powder to 8-10” of powder and I love this board. Everything I previously noted still holds true - it slips on ice but I have never ridden anything that doesn’t, it’s quick edge to edge, floats in powder effortlessly, super fast turning (too fast sometimes but that’s me not the board), can carve an edge when you want, smooth transitions in conditions, great in the trees (again the only limiting factor in the trees is me!) and it was actually fun when I found myself in a big mogul field by accident. I would not hesitate to grab this board again."

Versatile fun ride

"I have always wanted an Arbor and treated myself this year with a new board. I have ridden Ventures (which are amazing, the Paragon really is a quiver killer) Lib Tech (great ride, first exposure to grip tech) and Never Summer. I am 5’ 9” about 155 lbs and wear a size 9.5 boot. Bought a 151. I have only ridden this board once, but feel compelled to write a quick review. Will come back later with more details. Conditions were early season mix of hard pack, loose snow (some man made some natural) little powder on the edges. Very mixed and unpredictable. First impressions are that this board is a lot of fun to ride. Very quick edge to edge, very playful, surfy in the powder, holds an edge on anything except super hard and scraped off hard pack, easy to turn, and very forgiving in the transitions between conditions. This board feels like it will be a blast in trees and powder. Very much looking forward to more turns on this board!"

New Daily Driver

"I’ve been riding (limited days) for about 7 years, I finally was able to up my board and riding time this year and picked up this Satori at my local shop. I’m 5’11”, 165lb and run a 10.5 boot and ride this in a 154. It is exactly as described, very stable underfoot but still quick and nimble. I haven’t been able to take it out in deep pow but the it does float nicely in the small stashes I’ve found. I rode a rocker board for years, so this was my first step into camber and it’s been awesome! The parabolic camber system they use is (I assume) more forgiving than traditional camber as I’ve almost caught and edge a couple of times but this system is just forgiving enough to help me out of it. The grip tech is awesome as well, never felt like I couldn’t hold my edge on any terrain I’ve been on. Most of what this board has seen so far is tree runs and groomers and it’s been a dream. I personally love the directional shape with the centered mounts, truly makes for a great all mountain board! If you’re intermediate to advanced and looking for a new daily driver, definitely take a look at this board!"

Q&A

I’m 6’3 190. I typically ride a 162 A-frame but want something more playful to add into the quiver. I use size 11 boots. Would a size 154 ride ok? Also is this board very surfy I grew up surfing and that has transition to my snowboard style.
Hi there, The Satori is versatile enough to handle a variety of terrain, it's often favored by riders who enjoy charging down groomers, hitting jumps and rails in the park, and exploring off-piste terrain. Its responsive nature and camber profile make it suitable for carving on groomed runs while still offering enough flex and playfulness for freestyle riding. It is recommend downsizing 3-5 cm from your preferred board length.
Hi, my name is Pat. I'm 5.8, 180 lb and 10 boots size. What will be the right size for me 154 or 157? Many thanks.
Hi there, based on the description you provided, the 154 will be a good fit! The Satori has a wider waist, so it is recommended to size down 3-5cm from your preferred board length.
Hey, I am looking into buying this board in size 151, my only concern is the width of the bord. My shoe size is 40 EU, (25/25,5cm) and the boards width would be 26,3, will it be too wide for me?
Hi there! The Satori features a wider waist, providing more surface area. We suggest you downsize 3-5cm from your preferred board length to ensure an optimal fit.
