A nod to the origins of float, the Single uses the ethos of early single fin surf shaping with a voluminous nose and a highly tapered pintail design for clean tracking and increased stability. The tail creates the perfect angle of approach for the deepest days and added stability when pushing through the biggest pow turns. We used our Thunderhead Tip design to add surface area for buoyancy, with notches that channel snow around this wider shape. Our Pow Fenders make turning in deep snow easier, while Grip Tech makes the Single hold an amazing edge when reality kicks back in.

Arbor's Shaping Ethos
Grip Tech + Parabolic Profiling
The system shaping philosophy underpins the design of every snowboard in our line. It allows us to create advanced true-rocker and true-camber designs. As a result we preserve all of the inherent riding benefits of these proven platforms by avoiding hybridization. Two distinct technologies make this possible:

Parabolic Profiling

We use a unique shaping technique that replaces the single radius arc found in traditional camber or rocker with a more advanced parabolic profile. The design blends five separate radii together to create a parabolic arc which gradually reduces the amount of rocker or camber toward the tip and tail. In our System Rocker shapes the design lowers the leading edge to improve edge hold. In our System Camber shapes the design makes the leading edge less aggressive for smoother performance. The blended five radii design also drastically improves our ability to tune each shape in our line for ability level, target terrain and riding style.

System Camber
Arbor System Parabolic Profiling

Our System Camber shapes are for riders who want:

  • A highly responsive ride, crisp on-edge performance and more pop for carving and ollies
  • Effortless true-camber performance across all types of snow and during turns, spins and landings
Complete the system with Arbor System X Bindings

The System X Baseplate

FOUND ON ALL ARBOR BINDINGS
  • A proprietary design that transfers rider input out to four heel-to-toe convergence zones, improving edge controls and response time.
  • A concave design allows a board to flex more seamlessly by reducing flat spots for improved edge performance.
  • When paired with an Arbor Snowboard, the System X design improves the activation of Arbor's Grip Tech contact points.
  • This unique binding / board interaction provides maximum performance at speed, in steeps, amd through any turn, carve or spin.

Fender Tech

The edge control created by Arbor's System platform allows us to add Fenders that slightly lift a board's leading edge off the snow. This dramatically improves turning, spins, float and tracking on cambered snowboards.

Unlike "early rise" or "rockered" nose/tail transition zone, Arbor's Fenders create smoother performance without shortening the camber section of the board. As a result, you get a clean ride without any loss of the pop or performance that comes from full-length camber. Today, we use Fenders on the majority of our System Camber designs.

Wow in Pow

"You know when something is hyped up so much that it almost is guaranteed to disappoint you when you finally experience it? Well forget about that! I have found my new favorite board. What a dream in powder! So surfy, light and controllable. Confidently fly fast through deep pow while also effortlessly surfing tight transitions left and right through the trees like it can anticipate your thoughts. You can feel how the shape and features of the board shine in these conditions. Even throws off some jumps better than it should. What surprised me as well is how secure and fun it is on groomers too. More than a one trick pony. I was able to carve turns and grab a nice edge so if powder isn't on the menu that day, no worries! Laughed and whooped my day away. Definitely felt it the next day because I just didn't want to stop. That's some solid evidence of a good time and I can't wait to take it out again."

Arbor Single is a dream

"Got this board in March and was only able to use it twice on a small rabbit hill as it was near the end of the season and we couldn't get to the mountains again. But let me tell you those two quick rides were so fun. Carves and handles like a dream. Perfect flex. Suuuppperrrr fun board. I'm so excited to try it in pow and in the mountains. I think about that moment to come everyday. This is my first Arbor board, and first board that is more powder and carver oriented having only been on all mountain boards such as the YES. Basic. I completely recommend it to anyone who wants a fun board that they are going to take in any situation besides park. 11/10."
